Online Master of Science in Business & Artificial Intelligence Curriculum
A Curriculum With Working Professionals in Mind
The online Master of Science in Business and Artificial Intelligence program is designed to accommodate the schedules and responsibilities of working professionals. Coursework is completed across two years through a flexible, online format of both scheduled and self-paced lessons. Cohorts begin in either the fall or spring terms and continue for five terms.
Courses
30 credit hours are required to complete the program.
Students typically enroll in 6 credit hours, or 2 courses, per term (fall, spring, or summer). During the first year, the curriculum focuses on core coursework, while the second year introduces real-world projects and allows students to put their new skills to use on a sponsored project.

- MIST 7570E: Server-Side Application Development with AI
- MIST 7571E: Client-Side Application Development with AI
Electives
- MIST 7515E: Advanced Topics in Business and Technology
- MIST 7530E: Systems Analysis and Design
- MIST 7440E: AI in Business and Society
- MIST 7450E: Generative Artificial Intelligence
- MIST 7540E: User Experience Strategy
- MIST 7550E: Digital Transformation Strategy
Capstone
- MIST 7590E: Master of AI in Business Project
Core courses are prerequisites to the capstone.

Program Prerequisites
Although not required at the time of application, these prerequisites must be met before the start of the above-listed coursework:
While students benefit from having degrees in business, computer science or related areas, this is not a requirement for the program. Many students enroll with undergraduate degrees in liberal arts or other areas not related to business or computing.
The program requires proficiency in introductory programming concepts and Python syntax. Those who have taken courses in an object-oriented computer programming language and have had the equivalent of at least one year of programming experience are exempt from this requirement.
